Privacy policy

Your privacy is protected!

We're delighted by your interest in our website. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. In the following, we will provide detailed information on how we treat your data.

Storing access data in server log files

You can visit our website without providing personal details. We merely store access data in so-called server log files, e.g. the name of the requested file, date and time of the request, amount of transferred data, and the requesting provider. These data are evaluated exclusively to ensure the smooth operation of the website and to improve our offering. They do not allow conclusions to be drawn with regard to your person.

Collecting and using data to implement a contract and upon opening a customer account

We collect personal data if you voluntarily submit these within the scope of your order, when you contact us (e.g. via the contact form or email), or when you open a customer account. The data which are collected can be seen in the respective input forms. We use the data you share with us to implement a contract or to process your queries. After the contract has been completely fulfilled or your customer account has been deleted, your data are blocked for further use and deleted after the tax-law and commercial-law retention periods have expired, unless you have expressly agreed to the further use of your data or we extend the use of data beyond this scope in a legal way which we will inform you about in the following. Deleting your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or by using a feature in the customer account designed for this purpose.

Data transfer to implement a contract

To implement a contract, we transfer your data to the shipping company commissioned with delivery, insofar as this is necessary to deliver ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the ordering process, we will transfer the collected payment data for completing payments to the credit institute commissioned with processing the payment and potentially the payment service providers commissioned by us or the selected payment service. In part, the selected payment service providers also collect these data themselves if you set up an account with them. In this case, you will need to log in with the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider then applies.

Data use when registering for the email newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we use the data necessary for this or separately shared by you to regularly send you our email newsletter in accordance with your consent. Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or by using a link designed for this purpose in the newsletter.

Data use for postal advertising and your right of objection

Furthermore, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address, and – insofar as you provided us with this information within the framework of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth, and your professional, industry, or business designation in summarized lists and use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information on our products by post. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

Use of cookies

To make a visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after you end the browser session, meaning after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain stored on your device and enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can adjust your browser settings in such a way that you are informed when cookies are placed and can decide whether to accept them on an individual basis or can refuse the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analysis

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (www.google.de). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable the analysis of your use of the website, for example so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer. The information generated on your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Through the activation of IP anonymization on this website, the IP address is shortened before the transfer within EU member states and other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the collection of data relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) generated by the cookie as well as the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

As an alternative to the browser plugin, you can click on the following link to prevent the future collection by Google Analytics on this website:

An opt-out cookie is hereby stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will need to click on the link again.

You can find more detailed information on terms of use and data protection at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/. Please note that Google Analytics was expanded by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" on this website to guarantee an anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

Right to information and contact opportunity

You have the right to be provided with information at no cost on your personal data that we have stored as well as the right to correct, block, or delete these data if necessary. If you have questions on the collection, processing, or use of your personal data, for information, correction, blocking or deletion of data, as well as revoking given consent or objection to a certain data use, please contact us using the contact details in our imprint.
